During this two-day SAFe for Government training, participants learn the importance of mastering Business Agility to thrive in the digital age. They gain insights that can be applied to lead a Lean-Agile government organization using the Scaled Agile Framework.

- Successful leadership in a transforming government organization
- Build high-performing, multi-vendor teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
- Contract management and acquisition/procurement using Agile principles and practices
- Coordinate Agile at scale in a government organization with multiple vendors

More about this course

The SAFe for Government training begins by exploring the SAFe principles, derived from Lean product development, Agile development, DevOps, and systems thinking. Participants will then discuss how to establish Team and Technical Agility and how to organize around the flow of value. The training then focuses on the importance of adopting a customer-centric mindset and applying Design Thinking as part of the core competency Agile Product Delivery, with the opportunity to experience a PI Planning event.

Participants will also gain insights and recommendations for building a continuous delivery pipeline and creating a DevOps culture. Finally, the course provides an understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and the steps needed to implement this role within the organization.
